SOONERS vs Miami Game Watch Party
Our Sooners return to the gridiron to take on the Hurricanes at Land Shark Stadium, this Saturday, at 7 p.m. Oklahoma (2-1) enters the game ranked #8 in the latest AP and USA Today polls, while Miami (2-1) comes in ranked 17 and 21 respectively. The Sooner offense is averaging 452.7 yards per game, scoring 40.7 points per game. In two starts this season, Landry Jones has thrown 9 touchdowns and has completed over 60 percent of his passes. A balanced rushing attack has carried the Sooners in 2009 with a three-headed monster in DeMarco Murray, Chris Brown and Jonathan Miller. Murray leads the way with 219 yards, while Brown (197) and Miller (118) are not far behind. Defensively, OU is allowing just 4.7 points per game, giving up only 40.7 yards per game on the ground.
The Hurricanes return home where they are 1-0 on the season. Oklahoma will be the first non-ACC game for Miami. The Canes opened the season with a win at Florida State and against Georgia Tech, before falling to Virginia Tech last Saturday in Blacksburg. Miami ’s offense is led by quarterback Jacory Harris who averages just under 270 yards per game through the air and has 5 touchdown passes on the season. Defensively, the Canes can be run on, as they allow 159 yards per game on the ground.
So, why not see these two powerhouses battle it out for supreme glory this Saturday at the Franchise Grill and Bar. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. And don't forget to give the head chef, Earl, a hard time - after all, he is a Cane's fan. Also, if you haven't joined the OU Club of Collin County, there's still time. Single membership is $15 and families are $25. Membership gets you an awesome membership card good for 10 % off your bill at the Franchise any day of the week until next August. What a deal!
